Winning a 2011 ACL Impact Award was a great honor! I knew we developed a great ACL script for Westfield, and that the Shared Services – Accounts Payable Department was very happy with the results, but I never thought that my story would be selected as an Impact Award winner. Since being selected for this award, there have been many impacts to my career.
The first was the validation of my promotion that I received a month earlier – It was great to be recognized by ACL since Westfield had invested resources to both our education and the implementation of ACL.
The second were the congratulations from co-workers and our Australian Chief Audit Executive. It’s a huge honor to receive praise from colleagues.
The third was earning the ACL Certified Data Analyst (ACDA) certification, which was set as a 2012 professional goal for me.
I take pride in the analytic that I developed to prevent duplicate payments. Since developing the ACL script in January 2011, Westfield has prevented over US $550K in duplicate payments. I’m looking forward to a bright future and I can’t wait to attend the ACL 2013 Connections conference in Atlanta.
