…aka Dan Zitting’s AN10 EXECUTE Command “Throw Down”
Well by now you’ve probably heard something about our new software release; perhaps in the Forum, or you attended our webinar a few weeks ago or from your colleagues. Today marks the official launch of our Analytics 10 global contest. That’s right ACL superheroes… time to let your skills shine.
I invite ACL users from around the globe to submit their best example of an interesting use of the EXECUTE command within an ACL Script. Yes that’s right – you have to use the new EXECUTE command within a script. For those who were present at Connections in Atlanta or who attended the recent AN10 webinars, you will recall my particular use of the EXECUTE command where I used it to generate calls to cellular phones and then grab and analyze the internet call data.
Entries will be judged on the degree of creativity, level of complexity, clarity and (most importantly) business impact. The Grand Prize winner will receive the highly coveted title of “ACL Master Script Integrator” and their own Avatar with the opportunity to post on the ACL Blog, shining as one of the brightest minds in the ACL universe. Ten winners will receive an autographed copy of Fraud Analysis Techniques Using ACL by Dave Coderre (value $225 each). Each customer who submits – you can submit multiple entries – will receive a small gift from ACL.
Entries must be submitted online via GitHub with a corresponding link posted to the ACL LinkedIn Group; you must have an account on both – these are free. Over three million people use GitHub every day to collaborate on several million publicly available, open source, and private code repositories; it is the leading online community for source code version control and collaboration. Think of Facebook or LinkedIn, combined with an incredible set of collaboration tools for managing source code built-in, only for developers and scripters…that is GitHub. Follow our simple instructions to create your first GitHub repository and submit your entry. Review the Rules and Entry Specifics.
You can see my first entry here: https://github.com/danzitting/ACL-on-call-employee-testing.git. I’ve got several more entries myself in the cooker!
