A.J. (Tony) Murphy is responsible for defining and executing the sales strategies across all customer, geographic, and product segments, and strengthening ACL's role as the market leader in audit analytics and continuous controls monitoring software. Murphy manages all sales activities for ACL, including direct sales, strategic partnerships, and channel and distribution networks.
Murphy has more than 20 years of sales leadership in the development of international technology companies with strong growth potential. In his various executive positions, he has proven his ability to build effective strategic plans and grow companies to produce impressive results. Specifically, he has held senior management positions with several software companies and has successfully turned them into major players in their global markets. Murphy held the position of Vice President North America East (at Crystal Decisions) and following the acquisition by Business Objects, VP Central Region & Vertical Markets. While at Crystal Decisions, Murphy led a sales team to achieve 100 percent growth per year, driving revenues for this region from $28 million to more than $100 million in a three-year period.
Prior to this, Murphy was the President & COO at Enghouse Systems (taking the company public) and held senior positions with ESRI and PI Corp. While at PI Corp he grew their international business and expanded the company's sales in Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
His expertise with global enterprise software sales will support the expansion of ACL's international customer base, which includes over two thirds of the Global 500 companies.
Murphy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aston University in the UK and a diploma in computer science from the CDC Institute. |
