There can be other types of systems in an installation (e.g., sandbox, production support, etc.).

Is it possible to import from SAP “structures” instead of tables?

No, it is not possible to access data in SAP structures. Though the metadata for SAP structures are stored in the SAP data dictionary, SAP structures are not used to store data in the database. Consequently, data cannot be retrieved from SAP structures because there is no data to retrieve. SAP structures are used by SAP ABAP reports or programs as working areas during the execution of the program to store the variable values used by the program for calculation or for displaying data. Once the program or report stops running, structures no longer contain any data.
